Alchemist CDC’s CalFresh at Farmers’ Markets program operates CalFresh processing at multiple farmers’ markets throughout Sacramento County. The CalFresh program offers qualifying lower income individuals financial assistance in purchasing food for themselves and their families. Farmers’ markets are a great asset to communities, and can lead to improved health for area residents. By making it easier for lower-income populations to purchase food at farmers’ markets, these community assets will become more equitable and accessible to all individuals. CalFresh at Farmers’ Markets volunteers assist in processing SNAP transactions, distribute EBT and Market Match vouchers, and assist in redemption of vouchers from farmers’ market vendors.

The Midtown Farmers' Market is open from 9am-1pm. CalFresh booth is open for customer transactions from 9am to 12:50pm & for vendor redemptions from 10:00am-1:30pm. The market is located on 20th & J St and the CalFresh Booth is located at the center of the market on 20th & K St (right in front of Mango's).
Park at the Capitol and 19th by the funeral home. Free parking is available in the parking garage on 20th & L for staff & volunteers. There is paid parking in the lot next to Roscoe’s Bar & Grill that you can access from 21st St. If biking, there is a bike valet on K St right beside Faces. The closest restrooms are at LowBrau or Portable Restrooms near parking structure on 20th and L St.
