Volunteer: Empress Tavern Prep and CleaningUnder staff supervision, volunteers will assist in cleaning, polishing, and organizing at Empress Tavern in support of Alchemist CDC Events at Empress. These are drop in shifts, feel free to arrive at any time during the listed shifts hours. Parking information: Empress Tavern is located next to Crest Theatre and has limited street parking nearby. Paid garage parking is available across the street at Capitol Parking Garage. We highly encourage using public transport (Light Rail and Bus Stops are located with 1-2 blocks). Volunteer: Oak Park Art Garden Community ArtLeon Willis from Sledgehammer Graffix will be at the Oak Park Art Garden finalizing his mural along with other local artists creating their custom mural pieces along our back fence. We need the community's help with prep and activities! 9/24 - Assist artist Leon with the finalization of his mural. This includes setting up & taking down supplies along with painting in areas directed by the artist. 9/26 - Enjoy watching artists work on their own custom murals live. Community members can assist with the murals along with painting their own art on rocks and signs for the garden display! There will be a live DJ & catering will be available. (Pre register to get a ticket for a free plate of food!) Shifts are also available to assist with set up and take down. Any minors 18 or under who participate will need a guardian over the age of 18 present.
